My daughter’s 2007 Expedition broke down on a busy highway with my grandchildren and had the vehicle towed to JRF. I jumped in to help, though I didn’t know whether to trust the JRF service techs orJRF as a dealership. Because of the excellent work by Cassidy and the service techs, my full trust has been earned by the JRF Service Department. Cassidy went above and beyond to take the time to explain details, review options, provide sound guidance, and discuss the realities of repairing an older vehicle. We didn't want to get into a vehicle payment so elected to repair. Cassidy told me what I needed to hear, not what he thought I wanted to hear. We are very happy with how things turned out and my daughter told me it feels like driving a new vehicle. Cassidy and the technicians who worked on the vehicle are to be highly commended for their first-rate customer service, competence as technicians, and excellence within their trade. I now have peace of mind knowing the vehicle is safe to drive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Cassidy and the JRF service techs!

My wife and I have purchased many new cars in our life, usually from a salesperson who just wanted to make a sale. Pretty common, I think! In this case, my wife and I brought our 2023 Escape in for an oil change, and it was while we were waiting that we met Ashley Tidwell. We began to ask her what Ford was going to offer us when it came time to trade cars since the Escape was no longer made. After getting to know us, she suggested the Mustang Mach E. James River Ford did not have on one the lot, but I found one to drive at another dealership, not one that I would buy a car from today, but a dealer that I had bought cars from in the past. To shorten the story a bit, Ashley just worked with us very patiently, answering all of our questions and she was quite knowledgeable about the Mach E. We went home without a car to actually buy but we got a text later that day and Ashley had found one that exceeded our needs. At first, I turned it down as it was more car than I thought we needed. After a few texts back and forth, we ended up with a price that I was happy with. Ashley had the car delivered the next day, all clean and ready to go! We had a great experience working with Ashley and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is thinking about a new vehicle. She will go above and beyond if you give her a chance! I'd also like to give a shout out to the guys in the service department! I brought my year-old Ranger Lariat for its first oil change. I had no idea the first oil change would be free, but it was! There were a few minor recalls that needed to be taken care of, all done and I love the truck. So, the Mach E is our second purchase from James River Ford. Would I recommend them to a friend or a family member? Absolutely!

It was finally time to Trade in my SUV for a truck again and let me tell you Noah Ketchum directed me straight to what I was looking for with no b/s in between. I'm a straight forward man and he was a straight forward salesman. So much so that he took me down to the "partner" dealership james river jeep and dodge and low and behold there was the perfect truck for me. Brett Smith at that location and him made sure it was quick, fair, simple and I got the deal I wanted and the trade in value I wanted for my vehicle. Couldn't be happier, and both these guys deserve a raise!

Derek was great to work with. He was knowledgeable and quick to reply back to messages. He worked hard to get me a good deal. I only gave 4 stars because they sold the truck with a battery that was almost 6 years old, which I immediately replaced costing $162. When I received the truck it did not have the half tank of gas that was mentioned in the paperwork. I had drove it less than 30 miles when I went to fill it up. The tank took 26.33 gallons costing $100.04.

Derek was super helpful. He's local, born and raised here. Go in and ask for him, he'll get you into your next ride.

This is the second truck we have bought from James River. We came back because we had such wonderful experience the first time and their service department is absolutely the best. Very personal, they go above and beyond to help. My current Salesman Dallas was excellent. We initially communicated by phone and text. He was informative and not pushy at all. He sent videos of the vehicle to me. His communication was excellent, he gave me time to think it over. It took me about ten days to finally come in and purchase. He never applied any pressure nor did he blow me off. The Sales' manager Kevin was very fair with my trade. A second Salesman, Michael helped to switch over my tags and remove stickers off the new vehicle the evening we purchased it. Both Dallas and Michael are very polite salesman, I highly recommend either one. The Finance guy Adil was very polite, he did not try and overly push products. He politely presented them to us and gave us information, no pressure at all. A great experience from start to finish.

Today, I went to James River Ford undecided between a Ford Explorer ST or Ford Explorer Tremor. Michael was extremely patient and helpful with me while test driving the two different trim models, and even let me take one of the cars to my wife’s work so she could check it out. The process was smooth and no pressure; which was such a relief. Michael was excellent with my son and kept him entertained throughout the process. They gave me an excellent deal on my trade-in and took care of me. Happy to say I walked away with a new car. Oh….and for those of you curious enough to read all this, I ended up going with the TREMOR!!!!! P.S….Don’t play Michael in tic-tac-toe because he wins. Lol

James River Ford salespeople allowed me to browse the vehicles with no pressure. When it came time to purchase a vehicle the manager and salesperson were willing to make a deal possible. It was pleasure working with Dallas. Thank you!

They identified the issue immediately by accessing data from the car remotely, warranty status was confirmed and the transmission was ordered same day as it failed. Jonathan communicated throughout the entire replacement and repair process. We were placed in a new 2026 Ford Explorer and were able to go about our vacation without worry. Our 40th Anniversary would have been a disaster without the outstanding work of the James River Ford team! They exceeded our expectations at every turn. The car is running great and the new transmission is performing flawlessly. Kudos to the mechanic who completed the repair work. We are 13 hours from home and without warning the AC goes out in my ford. Kids in the back 94 degrees. Vacation about to be ruined. Pulled into the service center and told them what was going on. They said they would do their best to help us. Absolutely the best service. Diagnosed the issue. Which was the compression clutch got it approved with the warranty company ordered the parts.all of this from a family of hot wore out travelers who stopped in without an appointment. Saved our Branson vacation. 10/10.

We were in the area from Texas and our truck threw a code. After discussing with our local dealership, they said we needed to have it checked out. When I called Jim Rivers service department, they said they could get us in as soon as we could get there. We got there, they got it in checked the truck out and cleared the code so we could go home safely the next day. We are truly appreciative.

We had been having trouble with our VW Atlas and had decided to part ways. My husband was pretty pushy about looking at the Explorer ST. I was stressed from the VW issue and decided to stop in on my way home to check out the ST vs Tremor. Brett said he could show me both. I told him up front that we weren’t in a hurry and were going to sell our other car first and I just didn’t want him to have any expectations. I personally don’t like a pushy salesperson. Brett helped me choose which model, let me test drive, and we actually had a good ole time talking. Fast forward to that evening when we were back up there so my husband could harass him and Tyler in finance, which he really enjoys doing. The decision was made and having Brett as a salesman totally sealed the deal. He’s so much fun, has so much energy and is intelligent, communicative and knows his vehicles. We picked her up the next day. We were introduced to Service and he walked us through the fancy parts of the car. I truly appreciate Brett and Tyler and the experience we had there. I don’t dread going back for parts or service. Great job, guys!
